I don't think that's possible, Smiley said that they needed to turn Miya into a pseudo-Hemiteos unit so she can produce a child from a machine like him, she's still pretty much human so I don't think there's a little robot growing inside her.

Its based on both.
Characters like dead master are only inside anime looking the way they look here. Enemies like "sing love" are completely different caliber in PSP rather than this anime.
Postapo setting is based off the game. And if the moscow[while in game noah project is the only hope to restore planet] catastrophe is based off the game too...
Then prepare for a big sad.
The sad soooo big that in game every single time i had to withhold the tears...

Not bad on the psp game tho just like they copy some of them and the others is original for examples Strength and Dead Master aren't in the game and Black Rock Shooter is named Stella instead of Empress

Which is why I said, this adaptation is taking the PSP game and basically remaking it with a new story and characters while keeping a portion of the original story intact.

if i remember right the original anime they were high school girls fighting in another dimension or something. not androids fighting in a post apocalypse.
its been years since i seen the first anime so i could be misremembered a few things.

Yes, basically the PSP game dealt with an alien invasion... which was changed in this anime by an AI going out of control.

And the OG anime was the girls and their teenage angst, dealing with their problems in the form of a never ending battlefield.

Oh rite, black rock shooter was also a psp game :D
